Fabien Petitgrand is the Chief Technology Officer at Ubiik Inc. & Board Member at La French Tech Taiwan

Fabien currently heads Ubiik’s software development team and technology strategy. Prior to joining Ubiik in 2016, Fabien was with MStar France SAS as System Lead and MStar Semiconductor Inc. (acquired by Mediatek) as Special Assistant to the President from 2006 to 2013. His works centred on the development of 2G/3G/4G cellular technologies, including cellular modem algorithm design and implementation for GSM, WCDMA and TD-SCDMA, SoC architecture, MCU, and DSP instruction-set design and optimization, and DSP implementation of audio processing like voice codecs and Echo Cancellation. From 2013 to 2016 he was a Member of Technical Staff at M2COMM, contributing to the technology development and technical support of ESL products, as well as the SoC architecture and commercialization which resulted in a multi-region Sigfox-certified communication chipset.

Fabien holds a Research Degree in Digital Communications Systems from Telecom Paris Tech and a Master of Engineering in Telecommunications and Signal Processing from Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Electrotechnique et Electronique.

Ubiik, as the leading AMI vendor in Taiwan, has been awarded tender contracts for three consecutive years (2018, 2019, 2020) towards the deployment of RF network infrastructure and Head End Systems (HES) for 715,000 smart meters across Taiwan. Ubiik Inc has completed the First two phases and is currently working to finish the 3rd phase.

Ubiik has recently introduced Hermes, world-first Release 15 Cellular IoT (LTE-M/NB-IoT) Small Cell for private and hybrid LTE networks.

Ubiik works in the space of AMI in Japan, US and European markets.
